My Story

Originally from Hamilton, I moved to Wellington to study Creative Media Production at Massey University. Growing up I was always interested in drama and acting, which eventually led to my interest in performance on screen as well as on stage. I started to appreciate the amount of effort that goes into creating films and soon became aware of just how many people are involved in the process. The idea of seeing my name in the credits of a film was so exciting that I decided to invest my time in media and film.

Throughout my studies, there was a wide variety of opportunities and roles for me to take a stab at. After trying out production roles such as 1st AD and Script Supervisor I decided to stick with what I do best, post-production. I particularly enjoyed the colour grading process of making my graduate short film, which was one of the very important roles I wouldn't have known existed if I hadn't studied film. I truly believe that the edit and colour can make or break a film.

I’m eager to gain more hands-on production and on-set experience. With a strong background in editing, I bring a valuable perspective to the production process, particularly when it comes to anticipating challenges that are typically deferred to post. Understanding what can and can’t be easily “fixed in post” allows me to contribute to a more efficient workflow, often identifying and resolving potential issues during pre-production or on set before they become costly problems later.
